Two little bandits

They're 2 little bandits, one in blue pant is Malcom, and cream pant is Lee. They're little Western bandits, without guns 😼

http://www.wolfdreameroth.com/2009/08/mario-plushie.html  thanks to the crocheter I got the idea. But my big problem was due to the difference in the size of the wool, I had to change rows of every part- face, body, hat, mustache, straps and so on. Our grandsons wanted these characters.

Granny Square Vest

I got the idea to do this vest for grand-daughter from the site below, but I joined it all in a line, at the back also I made with squares and half-squares for the neck and armhole also I got the pattern from this site. Then I did the edging, for which, I made sc around, then made 3 ch, in each ch, made sc, hdc and 5 dc, made sc in next ch loop and continued around. My thanks to the crocheter for sharing the pattern for squares and half-squares.The pattern you can see in the site mentioned below.

For the front joined 4X4 whole squares, then 2 half-squares on the side with 2 whole square in the centre, next row was 2 half-squares on the sides and 1 whole square in the centre, followed by only 2 rows of 1square each.
Each square was 2 1/2".  The total length was 18". So, as per the size required, you can choose the no. of squares you need, while in the site, you will note that the back is not done in squares.

Little Krishna- made with cotton thread

Our grand-daughter loves Lord Krishna, so made this little Krishna, so she can always carry with her.

I started with the legs, made 2 and joined
Magic circle, make 6 sc in it, I didn't join
R2- increase alternately, so you get 9 sc
R3- 11 sc in each sc, fasten off one leg
Repeat for the 2nd leg, once you finish till R 11
keep both legs together and join 2 sc together and continue on sc in each leg around, you'll have 18 sc in all, I changed colour to blue and continued on these 18 sc till about 10 rows, then decrease 3 sc in next row ( 15 sc)
Next row- decrease 3 more sc ( 12 sc)
Next row, sc, decrease around fasten off.

For head, magic circle, made 6 sc
R2- increase in each sc  12 sc
R3- sc, increase, repeat around, 18 sc
R4 18 sc around
 R5- 2 sc, increase around  24 sc
 R6- 3 sc, increase around   30 sc
 R7-9 30 sc
R10- start decreasing 6 sc in each round till 6 sc are left, fasten off.

For arms- make 2
Magic circle 6 sc
R2-  increase sc in alternate stitches, so you get 9 sc
R 3- R 11, sc in each sc around, fasten off.

I always prefer to join with thread the different parts of the body. Then for eyes, made a couple of French knots close by, for mouth, stitched around with red. Made with yellow, the tilak in U shape, sorry it is just below the crown.

For crown
made 12 ch, make sc in 2nd ch till end (11 sc)
in each row, start decreasing 1 sc in each end, till you're left with 1 sc, then I made sc around the sides and fasten off. Stitched the crown, only thing I'ld not add was a small peacock feather, as I didn't have time for that, as I wanted to give to grand-daughter before she left back home from here.

I had placed the Lord Krishna on my crochet cushion cover, it was the 2nd set which I had made, this one by putting some flowers and leaves around.

Short crazey shell jacket

Finished this jacket this morning, made for daughter, as she wanted to wear over one of her top. Hope it comes useful to her.

For this, according to the length needed plus, the back together, make chain, then see how the crazy shell is made, once the breadth from neck to shoulder is reached, you decide how much you need for arm-hole, then in those stitches continue the pattern till desired length of the sleeves. You need to make 2 like this, as it is joined in the centre at the back, then join for sleeves and sides. Then make whatever edgings you like.

Elephant Eyeglass Holder

The basic design is by Lisa Ferrel- since my wool was thin, I had to increase the number of rows, then decrease accordingly. The trunk  and the tusks are my own idea, as my daughter wanted a long trunk, as the elephant's trunk isn't the same size throughout, as I felt that was what was there in that pattern, I made the trunk and tusks as I felt will look better. Eyes, I make in all my amigurumi with crochet, mainly in magic circle, I make single crochet, depending on how big/ small I need the eyes to look. Made this for our son-in-law, hoping he'll use it to keep his glasses on it.

Motif and leaves on salwar suit

This motif is called Russian paisley and Paddingcord Leaves- the design is by Bizzy hands, so the credit should go to that designer.

Actually the motif in the pink salwar is sea green colour, to match with the darker blue kameez.

The only variation that I made in the design was, I didn't do my single crochet in the backloop as suggested. Thanks to Bizzy hands for sharing this pattern, my daughter liked it a lot and wanted it on her dress.
