Flower basket with chain to hang in bags

flower baskeet with mud
flowers, leaves waiting to be attached to the flower basket

Whenever, I start crocheting, I'm not sure what it is going to be. As I kept making it, thought that this will make a nice flower basket. For it to be stable, I put my secret stuff down and filled with polyfil, made a small brown patch for mud, then made the flowers, leaves and attached them one by one. Then the strap was made, waiting to be attached, which was done this morning, putting the button on the strap. Maybe, I'll put it in my bag or granddaughter can have it, if she likes it.

Little cat with skirt, flowers in hair, collar ready to go for a spin !

The basic cat design I got from amigurumi site. Then I changed the pattern of the skirt, made choker, flowers for her head and the dress with leaves. I made her tail longer than what was given, as cats have long tail, as per pattern it was short.

This our granddaughter wanted, sadly couldn't finish before she left. She said to make this and few others she wanted to make and keep for her to collect on her next visit here.

Motif and leaves on salwar suit

This motif is called Russian paisley and Paddingcord Leaves- the design is by Bizzy hands, so the credit should go to that designer.

Actually the motif in the pink salwar is sea green colour, to match with the darker blue kameez.

The only variation that I made in the design was, I didn't do my single crochet in the backloop as suggested. Thanks to Bizzy hands for sharing this pattern, my daughter liked it a lot and wanted it on her dress.

Chokar with red rose and leaves

This choker made for my grand-daughter, sending through her dad tomorrow. She wanted it  with ties. I made with coloured cotton thread.

make ch, to whatever length you want.
R.1-sc in 2nd ch from hook till the end.  ch 3 turn
R2-*skip 1st st, dc in 2nd st, dc in 1st st, making an X, rep from * to end, ch 1, turn.
R 3: sc in each sc across, 2sc in ch 3 from row 2, ch 8, 2 sc in ch 3,ch 1 turn
R4- sc in each sc across, 2 sc in corner sc, sc on the sides evenly placed,
2 sc in next corner, sc in back loop of starting ch till end, 2 sc in corner, sc evenly on the side.

In case you make exact size, when you are making sc on the smaller side, after 2 sc, make a ch acc. to the size of your button, then sc in next 2 st.
I made ties from 2nd sc , made 40 ch, FO, rejoined in 2nd sc from corner, made another 40 ch, repeated the same for the other side.

For leaves, I made 2
ch 8
R 1: sl st in 2nd ch from hook, in each ch, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 3 sc in last ch, working around other side of chain in each ch, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl st, join with sl st in first sl st.
R 2: working blo, sl st in each st to 3 sc group, sl st in first sc, ch 2, skip next sc, sl st in 3rd sc, sl st in each st to end. Join with sl st in first sl st. Ch 4 for stem.
Fasten off.

For Rose
made ch 21
R 1: Double Crochet in 4th Chain from the hook, Chain 2, 2 Double Crochet in same space. *Chain 1, Skip 2 chains. In next chain, 2 Double Crochet, 2 Chain, 2 Double Crochet (all in same chain) Repeat from * to the end. Chain 1 and turn
R 2: Slip stitch through the first Chain 2 space. Chain 3 (counts as first Double Crochet) 6 Double Crochet in same chain 2 space. *Single Crochet in Chain 1 space, 7 Double Crochet in next Chain 2 space. Repeat from * to the end. Fasten Off
To Finish:I rolled the flower to the desired shape, then stitched around, so it stays in shape from all sides well.

To attach rose and leaves
I folded the choker into half, noted the centre, attached the leaves on either side leaving place for the rose in the centre.

Credit should go to the lady who shared the pattern, but I changed by adding an extra row on each side, the rose is not from that site, as I made roses earlier, I made it on my own, leaves also, I've made like this years before.

Crochet flowers and leaves on a dress top

This I designed for my daughter's dress, as I got bored of putting laces in 2 of them, so made small flowers around the neck, tiny dots on sleeves and bigger flowers with leaves right down in the dress.
If anyone wants the design, you're free to mail me, as they're quite simple.

my crochet flowers in a crochet pot !

this is my own design. I had the flowers earlier, had kept in an earthenware pot, but as it was too simple, got the idea to make the crochet pot, with the thick thread, when I was doing something else !

Small corchet flowers, leaves, stem

To crochet small flowers

in a magic circle, make 10/ 12 single crochet (10- if you want 5 petals, 12- for 6 petals)
R 1- I've used different colour, while joining to last sc, change to the new colour, make sc in the same place, sl st in next st., make 4 chain, * skip 1 sc, make a dc in the next sc, make a ch *, rep from * till last, join to the 3rd st. of the 1st 4 ch.
R 2- * sl st to ch space, make 2 ch, 3 dc, 2 ch & sl st in the same space, rep. till the end, so you'll get 5/ 6 petals,  join with sl st at end.

ps- those interested in having little more colour, instead of cutting the 1st colour thread, can use it to change colour while joining with sl st., then make either sl st, in each ch. or make a sc in each, join & fasten off.

Leaf- make either 7/ 11 ch depending on the length of the leaf
R 1- in 2nd ch from the hook, make sc, in next ch, make  1 hdc ( for short leaf), 2 hdc for longer leaf, 2 dc for shorter leaf, 3 dc for longer leaf, then 1/ 2 hdc, then sc, sl st, fasten off.

For stem-

for longer stem, I made 21 ch, then sc in 2nd ch from hook till the end, then 3 sc in last ch, then on the other side of the ch., sc till the end, last sl st , fasten off.

for smaller stem, I made with 16 ch., in the same way as above.
