Kangaroo with Joey

Made this kangaroo with joey for my granddaughter. The poor mom kangaroo was patiently waiting for days for me to attach its parts ! At last finished joining  the parts. Made eyes, mouth, stitched, them, joined the ears and head to the body, tail. 

At times, I easily finish something I start, or else, when I see another nice project and get hooked to it, then the one I started takes ages to finish !

Kollam / Rangoli

This "kollam" is slight variation of the original design. I changed the edging. My daughter wanted it smaller than the original which was made with thicker thread. Then I decided to make it look like a typical "kollam ", where the base is made with a brownish/ red liquid, so when you make with the white powder, it looks clear. My daughter-in-law also preferred in this colour. Made 2 , 1 for each of them.

Kollam

This is not my design. felt it more liked the kollam/ rangoli design which we make in front of our house in the morning after washing the place with water.

The changes that I made in this pattern was loops were made in each round. I felt the loops if by slightly gets pulled loses its beauty. I made with double/ treble crochet instead.
