Kollam / Rangoli

This "kollam" is slight variation of the original design. I changed the edging. My daughter wanted it smaller than the original which was made with thicker thread. Then I decided to make it look like a typical "kollam ", where the base is made with a brownish/ red liquid, so when you make with the white powder, it looks clear. My daughter-in-law also preferred in this colour. Made 2 , 1 for each of them.

Kollam

This is not my design. felt it more liked the kollam/ rangoli design which we make in front of our house in the morning after washing the place with water.

The changes that I made in this pattern was loops were made in each round. I felt the loops if by slightly gets pulled loses its beauty. I made with double/ treble crochet instead.

Made the complete spiral doily

 I was very keen to try out this pattern from the time I saw it. At last managed to make the complete doily. For the last, yellow one, I didn't have enough thread to complete it, made a half spiral doily.

Bunny with Heart

 This poor bunny was lying around in parts for almost a month. At last finished by joining the parts and stitched the heart in the centre. Have to make a strap to put it in the bag.
