Baby afghan blanket in basketweave stitch
I started with 1 multiple of 8 + 4 stitches
I made a chain of 164 stitches for this
in 2nd Row- started with ch 3, then dc till the end
In 3rd Row- ch.3 ( at the beginning of all rows ch 3) and also at the end of all rows dc
then 4 fpdc, 4 bpdc , till the end, finish with a dc last
in 4th row, start with ch 3, then 4 bpdc, 4 fpdc till the end, last dc
repeat 3 and 4th row for 2 more rows
next row5, start with ch 3, 4 bpdc, 4 fpdc, rep. till the end,end with dc
next row6 ch 3, 4 fpdc, 4 bpdc, till the end, then dc
repeat. the last2 rows for 2 more rows
then repeat from row 3 till8 till the desired length
for edging- make hdc between each st all around, with 3 hdc in each corner st.
join with sl st to first sc
next row, ch 3, sc in next 2 stitches, rep. from the beginning till the end, sl st to join
every ch is a loop
next row, ch 3, 2 dc in the loop, sc in next loop, * 3 dc ch 2, 3 dc in next loop, sc in next loop * rep. from * to * till the end ending with 3 dc and ch 2 in the first loop.
fasten off, weave in the ends.
hdc- half double crochet
sc- single crochet
dc. double crochet
fpdc- front post double crochet
bpdc- back post double crochet
sl. st. slip stitch

Crochet headband
Pattern
ch. 10 turn, ch 1
9 sc in 1st row, ch 2 turn
then 9 hdc in each row but to start the row, I started with ch 2, then 9 hdc
continue till desired length
then in the 5th st., join , made 30 sc or more to desired length to tie on either side
then joined the flower
for flower
magic circle, made 12 sc
joined to 1st sc
made 2 ch, then 2 hdc, 2 ch join with sc in the same place
sc in the next ch,
then 2 sc, 2 hdc, 2 ch , join with sc in the next sc, continue in the same way till the end
fasten off, I joined with hand roughly 1/3 rd from 1 side, so the flower comes on a side

crochet headband
this headband is my own creation, which I gifted to this girl for her b'day.
this is made of single crochet to desired length, then in 2nd row, I left 15 sc on either side, then joined yellow thread, did 2 rows of hdc, then again joined red for last row of sc.
