Made the complete spiral doily

 I was very keen to try out this pattern from the time I saw it. At last managed to make the complete doily. For the last, yellow one, I didn't have enough thread to complete it, made a half spiral doily.

 This is not my design.

Doily for wall hanging

I started the basic few lines from a pattern, then found there was difference in  the no. of chains needed due to the variations in the thickness of the wool used. Last 6-7 rounds, I had to change to suit according to my wool thickness. I showed to my daughter before the last 4 rows were done, she liked it, asked me to make a few more rounds.

Doily

This doily called " Kusuma", I started from this site up to round 22. Then, not sure, if I had made a mistake or didn't read/ calculate properly, or if the author had made a mistake, not sure. As after that round, I did make alterations and continued according to the number of stitches I had. The last few rows my idea to finish it. MY daughter-in-law loved the previous doily I had posted, which I gifted to one of our friends who left this city. I told my DIL, I've got other patterns from which you chose, she liked this the most. Wanted to finish it today, it had totally 32 rounds, one has to be really concentrated while doing it, I've made few mistakes, but continued to finish the pattern as per the stitches. Glad that I'ld finish it as can give it my son when he arrives here for a day.

Diamond doily

This doily is not my own design. It was from the net, I had slight problem in some places,so I made slight changes. This I made last evening to gift to one of the resident here, who are shifting back to their base. I'll be missing my friend and well wisher, with whom I used to talk from politics to games and our personal problems. Life has to go on, another New Year, so be happy, be healthy and make the most of each day doing what you love doing is my policy.

I wanted to try something different than the usual 4/  6 sides, so tried with making 3, then made into small heart, then continued with what came into my mind.

* rep*- rep what is given between the * till the end of the round.
ch- chain

Start with magic circle
Rd. 1- 12 sc in the circle, join with sl st to 1st sc

Rd. 2- ch, 2 dc in next 2 sc, ch 2, 3 dc over next 3 sc, ch 2, rep. till ending with ch 2 and join with sl st. to 3rd ch of the starting ch ( remember ch 3 in the beginning is counted as dc)

Rd 3- ch 3,1 dc in the joining ch, 1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in last dc ( 5 dc group), * ch 2, 2 dc in 1st dc, dc in middle dc, 2 dc in last dc, * rep. around, ending with ch 2 joining with sl st. to top of ch 3

 Rd 4- ch 3, dc in same place, dc over next 3 dc, 2 dc over last dc ( 7 dc group now), * ch 3, 2 dc in 1st dc of the next group, 2 dc over next 2 dc, 2 dc in last dc*, rep. around, ch 3 joining with sl st on top of ch 3.

from this row on-wards, dec, 1 dc in each group , and increase one ch 3 loop in the next round, but in Rd 11, it will be ch 4 instead of ch 3 and in Rd 12, it will be ch 5 loop till you get just 1 dc.

But when it comes to 1 dc left, start the Rd with ch 8, sc in the middle of next loop till you reach with ch 5 loop till 1 dc in the middle of 3 dc group and continue till the end, joining with sl st on top of ch 3.

in last row, start with ch 3 and 6 dc in 1st ch 5 loop, *ch 3 sc in the middle sc of the ch 5 loop, ch 3, 7 dc in the next loop*, rep ending with ch 3 and sl st on top of ch 3, sl st into next st. cut thread, weave the end around.

 to be honest, wasn't sure how it will come out, till I finished it. it is roughly 10", made with anchor 100 gm cotton thread. In case, anyone has any doubt, feel free to contact, as it is the 1st time that I tried to remember how I made a pattern, as normally I just keep doing what comes to my mind and forget to note it down and people have asked me for the pattern.  Planning to make another one, so I can be sure of the last line !
