Brown thick ribbed cap

This pattern ribbed cap is nice and thick, keeps one warm. crochet the number of stitches according to the length desired, do single crochet till the end. Ch 1 turn, from now on do single crochet in the back loop of the stitches leaving the last 12 stitches, ch 1 turn, do again in back loops only sc till the end. Turn do sc till all he stitches including the 12 stitches that was left earlier. Then ch 1 turn sc till the end. Turn and repeat doing sc till 12 stitches, sc till end, sc in all and turn. Repeat this simply pattern till the size desired. Please remember that this pattern stretches, so crochet at least till 1" less than the desired size. 

In the smaller end thread the wool, take through all the loops and pull tight to close the top well. Then join the longer side.  This cap can be folded to cover the ears well.

 This little dog isn't my design. Only the nose, eyes, cap are mine. This I gifted to our granddaughter who wants to be a vet.  In the last 2 photos you can see the dog attached to her bag with his scarf.

Little doll

Though I started the pattern from a site, but then it wasn't given very clear, so changed many things, as I felt will look fine. Though the basic design was from that, but in stead of joining as a circle, I did the hat , then joined the sides. the scarf is again my design, so too the socks. The button, I made with crochet by doing a magic circle. Eyes with magic circle and stitched it, lips I did the embroidery. 

This is for our grand-daughter, as when she was small, I didn't know anything about amigurumi, which I learned after our grandson was born, when our daughter-in-law showed me the pattern and asked me to do. Slowly, I grasped how to do amigurumi, made Lord Krishna, Lord Vishnu, Lord Hanuman, Dhurvasa rishi, Balram, other than some cartoon characters for our grandsons, along with many sea and land animals.

To make this cap, i saw a design, but had to change it according to my gauge, the way I finished it, is also my own, than what was given. So, in a way, it is my own design !
